Inexpensive Doctor Visits with No Insurance: Who Can I Go To?

May 10, 2019

Inexpensive Doctor Visits

Most doctors accept certain forms of health insurance; if you do not have insurance, the out-of-pocket costs can be astronomical. But did you know that you can have inexpensive doctor visits even if you do not have health insurance?

If you don’t have insurance coverage for a doctor’s appointment, it’s best to find out where you can go in case of a non-life-threatening medical issue. You or someone in your family could have a bad rash, pink eye, a bad cold or flu, or a severe headache – and when this happens, you won’t have time to mull over the best facility from which to seek immediate care.

That is why eMDnow exists: to provide excellent and timely health care for everyone, especially veterans and their families. Not everyone has health insurance, but everyone needs health care. We can provide that via our Jacksonville walk-in clinic or via our telemedicine service, all at reasonable costs.

Doctors Who Accept Patients Without Insurance

Practices like ours work with patients who are underinsured or uninsured. You do not need to make an appointment beforehand to receive medical care in our walk-in clinic.

If you are a veteran and you have no insurance, we offer telemedicine appointments at a very low cost. We are veterans and relatives of veterans ourselves, so our team has a personal understanding of what veterans go through to get the health care they need.

We also charge very reasonable rates for those with no insurance at our walk-in clinic, where we treat issues including:

  • Persistent cough or sore throat
  • Cold and flu
  • Infections
  • Heartburn
  • Constipation or diarrhea
  • Sinus infections
  • Insect bites
  • Rashes
  • Skin allergies
  • Minor cuts and wounds
  • Health screening
  • Vaccinations
  • Sprains and strains

Walk-in clinics actually help reduce the backlog of patients in hospitals’ emergency rooms (ERs) by providing immediate medical attention to patients with non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. That said, the patient is not the one who will evaluate the injury or illness, but rather a physician.

If further treatment is needed beyond your doctor’s visit, the doctor will refer you to the appropriate medical provider who can treat you as quickly as possible.

Low-Cost Doctor in Florida

You may visit our eMDnow walk-in clinic located in Jacksonville, Florida, or sign up and access our easy and affordable telemedicine services. We welcome veterans and their loved ones and beyond, and we provide convenient, affordable, immediate primary care without an appointment.

We started our practice with a mission to care for the health and well-being of veterans, because we are veterans ourselves – so we understand firsthand how difficult it can be for a veteran to access good health care. Our primary care providers care about building a relationship with you and your loved ones.

Our team at eMDnow provides telemedicine health services throughout Florida, and this service is especially helpful for those living in remote and rural areas of Florida. Our eMDnow mobile app enables our doctors to give you medical attention at your convenience and when you need it most.

Give us a call at (800) 511-0497, download our eMDnow app on your iPhone or Android device, or visit our walk-in clinic in Jacksonville. You can also fill out our convenient online form now to request an appointment. We look forward to taking care of you and helping take the stress out of paying for a doctor’s visit.
